The Brotherhood are a group composed of Cleric, Mages, Monks, Warrior Mages and the Bloodmoon Mages. They constantly fight outbreaks of evil and try to keep the balance between good and evil.
They were originally a group of magic users, led by Thadius Bloodmoon, that fled Teruno and Tuoto during the oppressive reign of Shaylock. They fled to the lush mountains of Desaran and have maintained their main stronghold there since that time. Their influence has spread to most of Philenos.
Each class forms a branch of the brotherhood but they all report to the Bloodmoon mages who make up the ruling core.

The Children of the Light are normally considered a demented religious group. They are an organized group of Drow, Goblins, Orc, and other normally Underworld Clerics that have taken to worshipping the god of light and the sun.

The Dark Skulls are a highly trained and extremely competant group of assassins. Their reach extends throughout the realm. It is impossible to go looking for them to hire them, anyone doing so, ends up dead. If you have a need of their services, they find you.

Although isolated monasteries are scattered across Philenos, a majority of the monks of Philenos are located in Tuoto. Between the human kingdom of Shylon and the Mouglan kingdom of Myrdon, runs a vast mountain range known as the Dragon's Spine. Virtually every mountain top is dotted with a montasary.
While searching for enlightenment, a majority of the monks are responsible for keeping the roving bands of evil forces at bay. They are make traveling in the mountain passes fairly safe for travelers.
Their are rumors of hidden evil monastaries that help the evil forces in the area, but these reports go generally unconfirmed.

The Golden Eye is a secret intelligence network that extends across Philenos. The leaders of the Golden Eye are elders among the sorcerers of Sorain. Very little happens anywhere in Philenos that they do not know about. They are organized in cells, no one except the member of the inner circle know the full extent of the organization. Their main goal is to make sure know one like Shaylock ever gains control again.
